December 2010, Lucknow
 - this small girl, Sonia was a good acrobat. It is amazing to see how
technology has changed lives, changed a few other things as well, but
still a lot others remain almost the same. Earlier the acrobats/their
troupes used to have drums, but now the lady standing in this picture is
holding a small mobile-phone with Bolywood songs playing on it, she was
holding a mike connected to speakers kept around through wireless, and
was using it alternatively to appeal for donations and then blare out
the loud music!.
Near the town of Karsog, Himachal.
Har Kee Paudi, Hardwar, Utterakhand.
Faridabad, 2010. Life
could be tough - it was January, and Delhi is very cold in winters. The
mother (not seen in the picture) had to feed the family, she had to
work, and so she had to leave her baby in a makeshift cradle, probably
with this sibling (standing and face turned away) - out in open next to
this construction site.
